Candlelight Farms is one of Connecticut’s premier event venues, located on a 600-plus acre private estate in beautiful New Milford, We are perfectly situated in Connecticut’s majestic Litchfield Hills, convenient to both New York and Massachusetts, and close to all that New England offers.

Our Historic Heritage

Candlelight Farms offers several venue options on the grounds, from the intimate Club House to the Lower Barn, the Hangar, the Great Lawn, the Main Inn, and even an active grass airstrip. The peaceful ponds, paddocks, meadows, and breathtaking views are the heartbeat of Candlelight Farms, helping to sum it up in one-word – magical.

The Hangar

The Hangar is Candlelight Farms rustic seasonal venue. Located on the upper portion of the farm, The Hangar is a popular space, filled with charm and personality. The high ceiling and exposed beams are adorned with specialty lighting, unique wooden chandeliers, and natural light that pours in through the many windows of the structure.

The movable barn doors open completely to reveal the scenic overview of Candlelight Farms Pond.

The Lower Barn

 The Lower Barn, located adjacent to the Great Lawn, is an all-season event space, simple and elegant in design, surrounded by a spacious, wrap-around veranda that overlooks the hills and pond of Candlelight Farms.

Versatile and welcoming, The Lower Barn and Veranda serve as perfect settings for any event. This siloed structure is located where the original barn was first raised in 1840.

The Club House

The Club House is an intimate, year-round venue, perfect for small gatherings, group activities, or any events looking for a charming, rustic setting, with all the comforts of today. The working fireplace adds to the allure of the Club House, and in more seasonal weather, the outside patio and fire pit make it a favorite at Candlelight Farms.

The Club House also features a small working kitchen and bar, perfect for entertaining!

Tented Events

Candlelight Farms offers a variety of options for hosting events. With our magnificent lawns and sprawling paddocks, we can accommodate tented celebrations of any size. Working with our preferred vendors, we can help bring your vision to life, with ease and elegance. 

Whether a fully floored and walled in structure, or an open air, pole tent, let us help make your function fabulous.

Candlelight Farms Airport

Candlelight Farms Airport is located on The Hangar side of the property. It is a fully working grass airstrip. Owned and operated by Dave Szigeti, the airport is active, and is conveniently tucked into the quiet countryside.

Candlelight Farms also has a working helipad on site, adjacent to Candlelight Farms Airport.

The Inn

Candlelight Farms Inn is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast, once the Main Farmhouse on the property. The charming 1840 Colonial features 6 guest rooms, several dining areas, a sitting parlor, and our very-own Pub Room.

The Inn is open year round and is adorned with incredible antiques and collectibles. Relax in the ambience of yesteryear while enjoying the comforts of today.

Candlelight Farms Stables

Candlelight Farms Stables are located directly across from the Inn. Lessons, training, boarding, and trail rides are available. Or if you simply want to say “Hello” to our horses or Fiona, our donkey, that’s fine too.
